Indisputably one of Vietnam's most atmospheric destinations, Hoi An contains a World Heritage-listed old town boasting over 2,000 years of culture and history.
Fukian Assembly Hall (Phuc Kien) and Ha Ha - Art In Everything are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step off the beaten path and head to My Khe Beach and Rubin Cloth Shop. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hoi An: Da Nang (Dragon Bridge, Red Beach, &more) and Mỹ Sơn (in Duy Xuyen District). There's much more to do: let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, take in the views from Japanese Covered Bridge, stop by Friendly Shoe Shop, and kick back and relax at Cua Dai Beach.

Traveling by flight from Siem Reap to Hoi An takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. When traveling from Siem Reap in January, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Hoi An: temperatures range from 29°C by day to 22°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Thu) to allow time to travel to Hanoi.
