You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Head to Andrassy Avenue and Central Market Hallfor plenty of shopping. Relax by the water at Roman Beach and Tagore Promenade. Get out of town with these interesting Budapest side-trips: Mor (Geszler Family Winery & Csabi Miklos' Cellar), Eger (Minorita Templom, Kovacs Nimrod Winery, &more) and Nemzeti Botanikus Kert (in Vacratot). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Fisherman's Bastion, test the waters at a local thermal spa, see the interesting displays at House of Terror Museum, and wander the streets of Vaci Street.

In April in Budapest, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
