Perched beneath the foothills of several soaring mountains, the town of Minakami-machi provides a picturesque stepping stone from which to explore the dramatic surrounding scenery.
Get in touch with nature at Tanigawadaketenjindaira Ski Area and Fukiwarenotaki Falls. Do some cultural sightseeing at Tenichi Art Museum and Naramata Dam Disaster Protection Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Minakami-machi: Numata (Otone Breweries, Spa Resort Yuniiku, &more), Katashina-mura (Snowpal Oguna Hotaka & Ozegahara) and Kawaba-mura (Kojyu Hotspring, Tsuchida Brewery, &more). Famous for its Daruma dolls, Takasaki serves as a great stopover town during a trip through Japan.
