Perched beneath the foothills of several soaring mountains, the town of Minakami-machi provides a picturesque stepping stone from which to explore the dramatic surrounding scenery.
Step out of the city life by going to Oze National Park and Fukiwarenotaki Fall. Explore Minakami-machi's surroundings by going to Kawaba-mura (Wine Tours & Tastings, Kabuto Falls, & more), Gunma Astronomical Observatory (in Takayama-mura) and Numata (Spas & Wellness, Tenkeiji, & more). On the 5th (Fri), spend a day of thorough relaxation at some of the top local onsens. Spend a day outdoors on the 9th (Tue) with I Love Outdoors Japan. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Takumi no Sato, fly down the slopes at Snowpal Oguna Hotaka, see the interesting displays at Tenichi Art Museum, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Fujiwara Snow&Spa Resort.

Famous for its Daruma dolls, Takasaki serves as a great stopover town during a trip through Japan.
You'll explore and learn at Tomioka Silk Mill and Kannamachi Dinosaurs Center. Get outdoors at Ikaho Green Farm and Lake Haruna. Venture out of the city with trips to Maebashi (Genkeiji Temple, Ninomiya Akagi Shrine, & more), Shibukawa (Ikaho Shrine 伊香保神社, Ikaho Stone Step Street, & more) and Kanra-machi (Konnyaku Park & Kanra Town History and Folklore Museum).
