The cultural and economic hub of northern Norway, Tromso boasts a historical city center containing one of the highest concentrations of wooden houses in Europe.
Get in touch with nature at Nature & Wildlife Tours and The Steindal's Glacier. Get some cultural insight at The Arctic Cathedral and Elverhoy Kirke. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Tromso: Haaja (in Sommaroy), Segla (in Senja) and Aurora Spirit (in Lyngseidet). Do a combination of flight and train from Tromso to Trondheim in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of ferry, bus, and train. While traveling from Tromso, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Trondheim, ranging from highs of 41°F to lows of 29°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Mon) early enough to travel to Oslo.

Step out of the city life by going to Huk and Hvervenbukta. Get a sense of the local culture at Akershus Castle and Fortress (Akershus Slott og Festning) and Norsk Folkemuseum.
