Start off your visit on the 20th (Wed): indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens, then make a trip to Netsunoyu, and then witness a stunning natural landmark at Yubatake. Here are some ideas for day two: tour the pleasant surroundings at Onioshidashi Volcanic Park, take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane, and then stroll through Sainokawara Park.

Perched beneath the foothills of several soaring mountains, the town of Minakami-machi provides a picturesque stepping stone from which to explore the dramatic surrounding scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): make a trip to Takumi no Sato, then admire the sheer force of Fukiwarenotaki Falls, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Ukishima Kannnondo. Famous for its Daruma dolls, Takasaki serves as a great stopover town during a trip through Japan.
