Start off your visit on the 2nd (Thu): see the interesting displays at Fukuromachi Elementary School Peace Museum, then don't miss a visit to Miyajima, and then get outside with Mikasahama Beach. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Atomic Bomb Dome, examine the collection at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and then steep yourself in history at Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Sat): make a trip to Heian Shrine, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and then take a stroll through Gion. On the 5th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Ryoanji Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, then contemplate the long history of Sanjusangendo Temple, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kodai-ji Temple.

Traveling by train from Hiroshima to Kyoto takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 22°C in April, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can take a train to Tokyo.

On the 6th (Mon), ponder the world of politics at Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings, examine the collection at Edo-Tokyo Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Senso-ji Temple, and finally take a stroll through Ginza. On your second day here, get engrossed in the history at Tokyo National Museum and then get curious at National Museum of Nature and Science.

Getting from Kyoto to Tokyo by train takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. In April, daily temperatures in Tokyo can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 7th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
