The capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, Erbil occupies perhaps the longest-inhabited land in the world, with the earliest human settlement here possibly dating back to 5000 BCE.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Tue): walk around Sami Abdulrahman Park, steep yourself in history at Erbil Citadel, and then stop by Bazaar. On the next day, buy something for everyone on your list at Family Mall, thencontemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mudhafaria Minarett, thenexamine the collection at Kurdish Textile Museum, and finally walk around Shanadar Park.
