The small town of Myoko, nestled between five mountain peaks, attracts skiing and winter-sport enthusiasts with its famed resorts and abundant snowfall.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park and Zenko-ji Temple. Get outdoors at Hakuba Happoone Ski Resort and Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. Change things up with these side-trips from Myoko: Nozawaonsen Sotoyu Nakao Hot Spring (in Nozawaonsen-mura), Ushikata Inn (in Otari-mura) and Kusatsu-machi (Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane & Yubatake). There's much more to do: learn from the experts at Hakuba Snow Sports School, hit the slopes at Naspa Ski Garden, take in the pleasant sights at Onioshidashi Volcanic Park, and walk around Chatsubomigoke Park.

Osaka to Myoko is an approximately 6.5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and car. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
