The largest city on Canada's eastern coastline, Halifax boast a rich maritime history and occupies a strategically important location with one of the world's greatest natural harbors.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sun): get engrossed in the history at Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, then admire the striking features of Province House, then learn about all things military at Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and finally get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Back to the Sea Touch Tank Hut. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 31st (Mon): take in nature's colorful creations at Leighton Dillman Park, then visit a coastal fixture at Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, then sample the tasty concoctions at Alexander Keith's Brewery, and finally take in the waterfront at Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk.
