Detailing the peculiar Hindu heritage of coastal Vietnam, Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture houses the largest collection of Cham artifacts in the world, with exquisite pieces ranging from the 2nd to 15th century CE. Featuring some 300 stone and terracotta pieces, the museum showcases masterpieces of Indic carving and architecture with elaborate ornaments rescued from Angkor Wat and My Son after a week of U.S. carpet bombing in August 1969. The 1919 French colonial building includes a large sculpture garden with highly ornate mythical creatures set in stone. Get one of the audio guides in English (you'll need to show ID), and afterwards browse souvenir replicas of altars and lingas. Beautiful museum which loves Hindu culture. Especially how everything has been preserved so beautifully. You can definitely wander around here for an hour and there are many benches that invite you to sit. You can photograph.View original

I liked the giant map of Vietnam outside of the museum. It gave me a sense of the whole Vietnam. The sculptures were interesting. When our tour guide said we could spend an hour in the museum I was like no way. Is there so much to see? He's right though. There were a lot to see inside. Reading the culture and value of the old were nice.

It is museum, so if not fan of stone sculpture, maybe not place to go. But If you want see a ancient, magnificent hand carved statues and artifacts, This is definitely good place to go. However, 3 stars because there is no air-conditioning so it could little warm inside. It took, Hour, hour and half to take a tour in museum.
