Showcasing a piece of Vietnamese history, B52 Victory Museum reminds visitors of major military events that took place in 1972. The museum sheds a light on the Vietnam War, when soldiers, pilots, and other military personnel shot down 81 raiding aircraft, including 34 B52s. See the shot-down B52 bomber on display outside the building, as well as artifacts, pictures, and other objects from this period inside the museum. B52 Victory Museum Reviews
There's not that much of interest here apart from the reconstructed B52. It's impressive how huge these planes are, and how intimidating they must have been to Vietnamese civilians. Not too much to se... more »
more »It was in a great place. It is close to b52 pond. The notation is only in Vietnamese, but it is a completely local spot, but there are a lot of illustrations and numbers, and the meaning of the rough is understood. The biggest uri is the wreckage of the B52. I feel that it is a war that repeated the fight to the death.
When I was there, indoor exposition was closed, so we was only machines stationed outside. Never the less, quick, few minute walk from Ho Chi Minh's museum or a cheap cab ride. Recommend who want so see more about the Vietnam war - if just reading about bombing of Hanoi is not enough and you want to see some war machines IRL, go there. Shot down B52 is quite a sight. No entry fee.
Free museum, but the main building is in renovation during my visit, should take you no more than 15 to 20 minutes to see all the outside exhibits. Suggest to go to Huu Tiep Lake too to see the drowned B52 among the residential area, it is only about 10 minutes easy walk through some narrow streets of Hanoi. Well worth the visit with this Museum.
