Experience a life of a guerilla patriot and go underground to fight an overwhelming invader at Ben Dinh Tunnels, a popular tourist site part of a huge system of tunnels. Slither past the dark tunnel 1.2 m (3.9 ft) tall and 0.8 m (2.6 ft) wide walls and snake up and down the underground corridor. Some 50 m (164 ft) in length shown to visitors is part of tens of thousands of miles of tunnels dug by Viet Cong to fight better supplied US troops. Check a large map of the extent of the network and cross-section of the tunnels and see a disabled M-41 tank and a bomb crater at the exit Using our world travel planner, Ho Chi Minh City attractions like Ben Dinh Tunnels can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

What a waste of time took 2 hours to get there and almost 3 and a half to get back to Saigon. We might have been on site for 2 hours at the very most. To just see the odd replicas. There were about 5.... more »

I hired a travel guide to take me to CU Chi tunnels I am glad it was someone who knew his way around, it's a kind of a jungle but with help in picking up my wheelchair whenever required and walking a few steps with help I managed to see the place. it's very historical no doubt but it would be great for a person who likes history and it is fully made up for tourists. I am not a history kind of a person but since it was a very natural environment so I liked the tour. I must mention that when taking a tour there is a point when you are offered tapioca with Vietnamese tea I was really hungry and the people out there are so friendly and so Vietnamese. I clicked some awesome pictures with them and they helped me with my wheelchair and me all the way through because there are a lot of steps that have to be climbed to get out of that place, so if there are some muscle men around you and can lift up your chair with you in it as you cannot get out of it at all then you can definitely do this tour otherwise maybe not.
A memorial and historical landmark for the Vietnamese. Showing us the hardship and effort of their ancestors for survival. While maintaining their culture during the war. An impressive feat.
