Peek into a thousand years old shaft to discern a glittering surface of drinking water at Ba Le Well, a historic well and a World Heritage Site. Believed to have been dug in the 10th century, the water from the well was considered essential for the town’s cao lau noodles. Create your own spring rolls at a restaurant built around this ancient well in the garden of Mr. Ba Lo Le, off Kiet Gieng Lane. You will smell it before you see it: barbecued pork served up satay-style with fresh greens and herbs. Make Ba Le Well a part of your Hoi An vacation plans using our Hoi An vacation planner.

This should be the no.1 place to eat on trip advisor in Hoi An. BEST food we've tried so far in Vietnam!! So glad our hotel recommended this place. Fantastic authentic Vietnamese food. Really decent portions with around several different dishes on the set menu (£4 for the lot!). The whole experience was wicked, from the waitress greeting us to showing us how to put the dishes together. Would highly recommend!
Oh man. What else can I say about this place but GO NOW !! Look if you’re not down with eating authentic food on the streets / or in there “dining room” - then this isn’t the spot for you. But bang for your buck - overall taste and friendliness of the staff and owners. This place is a gem and for my money is a must for any Hoi An visitor. Just over 200.000 dong for too much food with a couple beers. Great spot
